Where is this real Christmas?
How did we let it get away from us?
Have we sold that which has been proclaimed on most of the blogs and posts that I notice,to be the symbol of our entire being.The most holy day in what can be considered our "national religion",if you believe this nation has or even should have one.
Has Christianity evolved from that rigid,non-yielding dogma that I was raised fearing,into an accomodating,merchandised justification for the more conservative materialistic religion that todays Christmas holiday atmosphere represents?
Or am I just burnt out from all the TV and radio commercials,advertisments in the paper,pop ups on the web?The all but unbearable traffic anywhere near a mall,crowds in even the most mundane of retail outlets and flavorless resturants.
Am I about to lapse into the nightmarish recesses of a tinsel tinted holiday overdose?
Have I snorted too much Santa?
Can it be that I am crashing hard from a Rudolph led sliegh ride shootup striaght into the OD raindeer corral?
Or is it all just too stupid?
Maybe!
